How to download VMware Workstation Pro 17.x.x
As you might know by seeing the title that why am I writing this? Yes, the reason is after Broadcom purchased vmware, since then so many things has changed. People are not finding exact thing where they used to find before. Ok let’s get started.
Disclaimer: Without vmware 17 license key, you should not start the upgradation or installation.
Go to this link: https://www.vmware.com/products/desktop-hypervisor/workstation-and-fusion
From here the boreness starts. If you don’t have account then you need to register for an account and this is the only way to move forward.
After creating the account, provide the username and tick the Remember me box and click Next.
Now click on Sign In.
You will be landed on this page. Click on My Dashboard.
In the search box, type the vmware workstation and select the VMware Workstation Pro.
Come to the bottom of the page and click on this link.
On the next page, select this one.
Click on 17.6.1
Now click on this download button.
Now either your download should started or you will be taken to another page where you need to put some information’s. After providing those info, proceed please then click again on this download button to start the download.
Special Note:
- If you are running old version of vmware workstation pro like version 15.x or 16.x and you have so many vm’s running, then you can easily upgrade to vmware 17.x series. Just you need a license key of vmware workstation pro 17. After providing the license key after installing vmware 17, you will get all of your vm back as it was before. But without license you should not start the upgradation.
- The new version solves the vm unsupported processor blue screen of death problem.
